Colour the World in Peace was designed by Julie Verschoyle for a Texas Cow Parade. She is one a series of beautifully made miniatures of cows that have appeared in Cow Parades across the world. She is about 9cm (3.6 inches) high, 15cm (6.2 inches) long and 5cm (2 inches) deep.

Julie Verschoyle designed this peace-loving cow for a Cow Parade exhibition in San Antonio.
The Cow Parade programme places life-size fibreglass models of cows, decorated by local artists, in city centres. The first cows appeared in Chicago several years ago and new herds have since appeared in many cities across the world, including London, New York and a hugely successful Parade in Manchester, England in 2004. Everywhere they have appeared they have been an instant attraction. They are eventually auctioned for charity – we have even had a visit from the proud owner of not one, but two of the original cows! |
